DSCN1444 outside John Lewis

The Citi 7 bus stop outside John Lewis in the centre of Cambridge is not fit for purpose.

There are other stops a little further along where the pavement is wider and at least these have a shelter and the indications of a queue. By contrast the Citi 7 stop has no shelter, the pavement is narrow and there is nowhere to queue; it’s often a free for all when the bus comes. And if you’re early there’s no timetable to indicate how long you might have to wait.

This is not good enough. It’s a County Council matter and it has been asked to improve the situation.

And the gap between 6.50 and 7.50 of busses to cottenham is inexplainable!

And today I am sure we were spun a yarn by the driver of the 1838 from the station that the cottenham bus was behind. Seems like he either decided he was going to call it a day at the john lewis stop. There was about 40 people waiting over an hour to the real next bus.

I bus stop in the centre of cambridge is fine, mind you the waiting screens sometimes shhow the planned published timetable that the Citi 7 Buses are supposed to operate by, but not the actual times. This is annoying, especially when the buses run every 10 minutes as oposed to every 10 minutes
