Most of the debate about the Citi 7 has involved people already on the route. Residents of Rampton get one bus a day into Cambridge and nothing else. Any campaign for a better Citi 7 service must address the needs of this village.

Hi
I am writing as my mother lives in Rampton and has to arrange her life around friends/family giving her lifts.
There is a car care scheme, set up a few years ago by my late father. It has only 4 drivers (all OAP’s) with only 3 cars, a driver needs at least
24 hours notice of a journey and for obvious reasons, they are not available all the time. Whilst this is a great scheme, it is no substitute for a
decent bus service.
My Mum has been stranded in Cottenham when I have been stuck at work when she got back to Cottenham – with luck, she met someone who invited her in for a cup of tea whilst she waited for one of my family to get home to be able to give her a lift.
Aa solution is easy – one bus an hour going down to Rampton Green, stopping for a few minutes & then back to Lambs Lane, then left down to the church and then up to the village again.
That would give a reasonable bus service to those people and still leave the
‘quicker busses running at 3 times an hour.
